KEIGHLEY primary school pupils have received a lesson in road safety.
Year-three youngsters at St Andrew's CE Primary visited Barratt Homes' Vision development, in Braithwaite.
They were given a talk by road safety officer, Katie Hammond.
And she and Vision sales advisor, Jake Helm, took the pupils through ways in which they can stay safe on the roads particularly in the winter.
Each child received a reflective 'Barratt Bear' keyring to attach to their school bag or coat, to help them be seen.
The initiative was held as part of national Road Safety Week.
Saimah Rashid, a year-three teacher at St Andrew's, said: "We were delighted with the site visit and the road safety talk.
"We want the children to be able to still enjoy being outside during the winter months but also be safe, particularly on their way to and from school when it is quite dark.
"We're really pleased that they've now been given important tips on how to do this, and the keyrings are such a great bonus."
Mr Helm said Barratt was always keen to support communities.
He added: "It was a pleasure to team up with Katie to teach the pupils about road safety."
