A PEDESTRIAN was seriously injured in an accident at Cowling.
The 26-year-old woman, who lives in the village, was involved in a collision with a silver Ford Fiesta on the main A6068 road.
She was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken by ambulance to Airedale Hospital, where her condition is described as serious but stable.
The car driver, a 41-year-old local woman, was uninjured.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, which happened at about 5.25pm yesterday, to come forward.
The road was closed and diversions put in place until shortly before 9pm while investigations were carried out and the vehicle was recovered.
