BUS users who have been exposed to the autumn and winter elements since their Riddlesden shelter was wrecked at the end of September have received some welcome news.
Transport authority Metro has confirmed that it will be replacing the shelter in Bradford Road, close to the junction with Compeigne Avenue, will be replaced early in the New Year.
The original shelter was flattened when a car crashed into it early in the morning of September 30.
A 29-year-old motorist from Bingley was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving following the incident, in which no-one was injured.
West Yorkshire roads policing unit attended the crash, which involved a Seat Ibiza.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Combined Authority confirmed last week that it would be installing a replacement shelter at this location.
It is due to be put in place during the week beginning Monday January 8.
