A HOST of acts have been announced for the winter and spring at Keighley nightspot the Octagon.

Owner John Pennington promises a wide range of musical styles at what he calls the “best party place for miles”.

The entertainment kicks off on January 12 at the venue on Bradford Road, Sandbeds, with Nigel Mile’s Neil Diamond tribute, followed by Madness and Rod Stewart tributes on January 26 and February 2.

Club Visage will provide comedy, cabaret, music and games during a 1980s night in March 2.

Other tribute shows will include Soul Temptations with their Tamla Motown music on March 9, Orbison Legends on March 17, Mark Summers as the young Elvis Presley on May 4, Revival playing Abba on March 23, and Jersey Boys show Oh What a Night (June 10).

There will be visits from the John Verity Band to play blues rock on February 23, Ladies of the Blues with Kyla Brox, the Connie Lush Band and Erja Lyytinen on March 29, former Jethro Tull musician Martin Barre on April 7, and Status Quo bassist John “Rhino” Edwards with his band on April 20.

Eddie Earthquake And The Tremors are described as an authentic and energetic three-piece beat combo who will be playing rock ‘n’ roll, pop hits and obscure gems on April 29.
