KEIGHLEY people are being urged to put their best foot forward to raise money for charity.

The British Red Cross is seeking participants for a sponsored Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.

Entry costs £10 and each walker is asked to raise £100 in sponsorship.

The 24.5-mile challenge – on Saturday, July 21 – will take in the summits of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

Helen Whale, regional senior community fundraiser for the British Red Cross, said: "It will be a fantastic day and all our walkers are so supportive of one another.

"The scenery is awe-inspiring and to top it all, there's a unique medal, certificate and that all-important cup of tea at the finish!"
