A COMMUNITY clean up is due to take place in Lawkholme on Thursday. (March 8)
The event has been arranged jointly by Eastwood Community School, local volunteers and Bradford Council and residents are being encouraged to get involved.
A spokesman for the organisers said among those already due to take part will be council wardens, volunteers from the group Youth Vision as well as staff from the council's Keighley Area Co-ordinator's Office, Parks and Landscapes services and Street Cleansing department.
She added: "The clean up will run from 9am until 12.30pm, and the more volunteers who come along the better, as many hands make light work.
"It's about the community working together, and also about young people getting involved.
"We will be providing people with equipment such as gloves, litter pickers and plastic bags.
"And from 12.30pm everyone who has turned up will be invited back for food and drink at Eastwood School."
