A FAMILY-run Keighley construction firm has opened new offices for its own staff off Lawkholme Lane.

RN Wooler & Co Ltd has also named the property after one of its long-serving employees.

A spokesman for the business, which employs 250 people, explained: "The continued success of the company and our expanding workforce meant we needed further capacity to accommodate the increase in staff and associated resources.

"The building was first acquired adjacent to our original offices in Lawkholme Lane in April 2016, and an extensive renovation programme was undertaken.

"All works were carried out to an exacting standard using employed staff and local sub-contractors. The office furniture including desks units, boardroom table and reception seating were designed and made in our own joinery workshop.

"The building is to be named Clarkson House, after long serving RN Wooler company secretary Sheila Clarkson."

Managing director Norman Wooler said: “Naming the building after our dedicated colleague and good friend was an obvious decision given her service to the company for over thirty years.

"We felt that it was an appropriate way to reflect our gratitude and appreciation of her loyalty and determined efforts."
