AN OPTICIAN is staging an Easter competition to highlight the importance of children's eye tests.
Youngsters are being invited to design a pair of spectacles, to decorate an Easter egg picture.
The initiative is being staged by Airedale Opticians, which has branches in Towngate, Keighley, and Main Street, Cross Hills.
The winner will receive a pair of sunglasses, and there are runner-up prizes of Easter treats.
Mohammed Hafejee, for Airedale Opticians, said: "The competition has been run previously with local schools with great success, but this year we have opened it up more generally.
"The designs will be displayed in-store and on our Facebook page, where voting can be done via the 'like' button.
"In addition, all children who have their eyes tested throughout this month will receive a complimentary Easter egg.
"Competition entry forms can be collected from the Keighley or Cross Hills branches, while booking a children's eye test."
The closing date for entries is Saturday (Mar 17).
