AN Oakworth venue will host a drugs awareness event next Thursday evening. (March 22)
Members of Oakworth Community Trust have teamed up with Keighley-based drug and alcohol dependency charity Project 6 to organise the event.
It will take place next Thursday at 7pm in Holden Hall.
A spokesman for the organisers said the evening had been arranged in response to requests from local residents for this type of event.
He added: "There will be a short presentation by Project 6 followed by an open discussion and question and answer session.
"We are hoping to have a probation officer there as well, to explain the work they do and answer any questions people may have.
"If someone is a concerned parent, sibling, or friend or they just want hear more on this subject the session is free to attend.
"But this is a ticket only event to ensure we keep to our numbers."
