This weekend offers a first-class mix of major events for sports fans.

With the FA Cup quarter-finals, key Premier League games at both ends of the table, the finale of the NatWest 6 Nations campaign on ‘Super Saturday’ as well as Winter Paralympics coming to a conclusion in South Korea, there is plenty to keep armchair supporters happy.

Here, Press Association Sport provides the definitive guide to what to watch and where and when to watch it.

SATURDAY

SIX NATIONS
England v Ireland – ITV 1425

Each of the six nations are in action over Super Saturday, but all eyes will be on Twickenham where 2018 champions Ireland chase the Grand Slam at the home of rivals England, on St Patrick’s Day. What could possibly go wrong?

Italy v Scotland – ITV 1200
The last round of fixtures kicks off in Rome, where hosts Italy are already set for the Wooden Spoon but will be determined to avoid a fifth straight loss of the tournament.

Wales v France – BBC One 1630
Depending on what happens at Twickenham, both Wales and France could still be in the mix for runners-up spot.

WINTER PARALYMPICS
Channel 4 0015

As the Winter Paralympics draw to a close in PyeongChang, there will be some British interest in the hunt for more medals as Scott Meenagh goes in the 7.5km cross-country biathlon sitting event, while 20-year-old standing alpine skier James Whitley is also in action.

FA CUP QUARTER-FINALS
Swansea v Tottenham – BT Sport 1 1145

Saturday’s lunch-time FA Cup quarter-final sees Tottenham head to Swansea without injured England striker Harry Kane. Can Carlos Carvalhal’s men pull off another unexpected triumph at the Liberty Stadium? If so, be sure to stay tuned for his post-match interview…. could get lively.

Manchester United v Brighton – BT Sport 1 1930
In a repeat of the 1983 FA Cup final (… and Smith must score) will the Seagulls be flying after their trip to Old Trafford? Or will the Red Devils put their Champions League disappointment behind them by marching on to Wembley?

PREMIER LEAGUE
Liverpool v Watford – BT Sport 1 1700

After the disappointment of defeat at rivals United last time out, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is expecting a response against Watford as his side look to steal a march in the race for second place in the Premier League.

Other highlights: Football – Fulham v QPR (EFL Championship, Sky Sports Main Event 1200), Bolton v Aston Villa (EFL Championship, Sky Sports Main Event 1715), Real Betis v Espanyol (LaLiga, Sky Sports Main Event 1940); Rugby League – Catalan Dragons v Warrington Wolves (Super League, Sky Sports Action 1710); Golf – Arnold Palmer Invitational (PGA Tour, Sky Sports Golf 1630 & Sky Sports

SUNDAY

WINTER PARALYMPICS

Great Britain will have Menna Fitzpatrick and Jen Kehoe in action looking to add to their medal haul, along with Millie Knight and Brett Wild.

FA CUP QUARTER-FINALS
Leicester v Chelsea – BBC One 1605

Out of the Champions League and out of the Premier League title race, the FA Cup suddenly takes on an extra edge for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. The Foxes, though, have recovered form under Frenchman Claude Puel, who already has a taste for Wembley with Southampton last season.

Wigan v Southampton – BBC One 1315
Speaking of the Saints, new boss Mark Hughes will take charge of the team for the first time at Sky Bet League One outfit Wigan to kick off Sunday’s coverage. A potential banana skin if ever there was one, as the Latics look to replicate the class of 2013.
