SCHOOL pupils in Cross Hills enjoyed an "outstanding" talk from a Yorkshire born and bred entrepreneur and senior business advisor.
Chris Gentle addressed senior students at South Craven School.
A spokesman for the school explained: "On March 16 Chris delivered a talk to the entire South Craven sixth form about his experiences.
"Peter then held a question and answer session afterwards and even took the time to talk to a few students on a one-to-one basis."
Mr Gentle was previously partner and head of research for Deloitte, where he ran an initiative to create jobs and growth in Britain called UK Futures.
He has written two books and advised the United Nations, OECD and the World Trade Organisation.
The school's spokesman added: "Chris also loves a challenge, and his experiences take in climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, cycling from Paris to Bordeaux and travelling around the world in 280 days, including a journey from southern Vietnam to Yorkshire by train.
"He came to South Craven as part of 'Speakers for Schools’.
"This is a UK charity that facilitates free school talks in secondary schools and colleges from a range of leading figures to inspire and empower the next generation."
