SKIING wasn’t the only winter sport on the agenda for Parkside School pupils on their recent trip to the Alps.

The teenagers also took part in bum boarding and ice skating during their time at Alpe d’Huez in France.

The 40 year eight and nine students had a fantastic experience learning to ski in the biggest snowfall Alpe d’Huez had seen in 70 years.

Trip leader Helen Gilert said: "The students were a credit to Parkside from the off with a member of Boots staff chasing me across the airport to compliment their behaviour.

“All the students were successful in learning to ski, many progressing to the steeper, higher blue and red runs.

“In true Apres Ski style we sampled crepes on the mountain, ice skating and bum boarding to name a few of the activities.

“Every student said they would go again. That’s the best review we could ask for.”
