A GANG of teenagers including three girls have been accused of a “cowardly” attack on a PCSO.

Four 15 and 16-year-olds were arrested following the alleged assault yesterday afternoon in Bow Street, Keighley.

The incident was highlighted by Keighley Neighbourhood Policing team sergeant Pete Softley on Twitter soon after the incident.

He tweeted: "Another early shift becomes a late shift with 4 arrested for punching and kicking a PCSO in Keighley town centre in a cowardly attack- but we got the stolen tv back and we got all 4 in the nick too."

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman today said the incident happened in Bow Street, Keighley, between 2.30pm and 2.42pm on Tuesday, April 10.

Four people were arrested, including three females aged 15 to 16 and one 15-year-old male. All were in custody this afternoon.

The television was believed to have been stolen from an address in Keighley earlier yesterday.
