KEIGHLEY Fire Station is inviting everyone to enjoy an open day which it plans to host this summer.
The event at the premises in Bradford Road will raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity and will include a variety of fun, family-friendly and educational activities.
It will feature a road accident demonstration, where a fire crew will show how they extricate casualties from a crashed vehicle.
Another safety display will be a demonstration of one of the most common forms of household fires – a chip pan fire.
There will also be an appearance by a miniature fire fighting appliance known as "Freddy the fire engine", as well as a bouncy castle, face painting, a raffle, a tombola, food, sweets and a ducking stool.
Crew commander Dom Creed, who is organising the day, said it would be free to attend, adding that he wants as many people as possible to come out and support it.
The open day takes place from 10am to 2pm on Saturday July 21.
