PHIL Airey will be the speaker at Glusburn and Cross Hills Gardening Society's final meeting of the season.
He will talk about the work of Horticap, which provides training in horticulture, allied crafts and rural skills to adults with learning and other disabilities.
The site – at Harrogate – also boasts a three-quarters-of-an-acre garden, wildlife area, shop and tearoom.
Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting, at Glusburn Community and Arts Centre on Friday, June 15, at 7.30pm.
The society's 2018-19 series of meetings and talks will start on October 19.
Six new speakers and a returning favourite will feature in the programme, which will culminate with a visit to a garden project.
The talks will cover various themes, of interest to both allotment holders and gardeners, vegetable and flower growers.
Membership fees have been pegged at £5, plus a charge at meetings of £3 for members and £4 for non-members.
