A CHARITY that runs recreational and educational activities for people with learning disabilities is celebrating a milestone.

The JOIN Project is marking its 25th anniversary with an exhibition at Keighley Creative Space, in Hanover Street, Keighley.

A range of work produced by JOIN's art and crafts group will be on display, including textiles, paintings, prints, wire sculpture and mixed media pieces.

The exhibition, in the former Sunwin House building, will run from next Thursday (June 21) until June 30.

JOIN began as a weekly coffee morning, catering for people with learning disabilities living in the Keighley area.

It now provides various activities five days a week and has over 50 members.

Jane Howie, chairman of Keighley Creative Space, said: "It's great that JOIN is using our space.

"One of our objectives is to actively encourage and help local organisations to use Keighley Creative Space to put on their own exhibitions."

The exhibition will be open from 10am to 4pm from June 21-24 and June 28-30.
