PEOPLE with sight loss in the Keighley area are being given the chance to learn new skills.
A free course is being staged, aimed at helping people retain independence and boost their confidence.
Behind the initiative is sight airedale and the RNIB.
The two-day course will take place at sight airedale's Lena Anderton meeting room, 31 Scott Street, Keighley, on July 18 and 25, from 10.30am to 3.30pm.
A spokesman for the charity said: "Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and chat with other people with sight loss and learn about equipment that can make living easier, as well as pick-up hints and tips for carrying out daily tasks.
"Participants will also learn about technology, welfare rights, mobility, eye health and emotional wellbeing."
To book a place, call 01535 602354 between 9.30am and 12.30pm Monday to Thursday, or e-mail enquiries@sightairedale.org.uk.
