TWO SUMMER concerts by the Cononley Singers will mark 40th anniversary of the film Grease.
The Cononley Singers will perform the Midsummer Musical Miscellany concert, which will feature a medley of some of Grease’s most memorable songs in a programme which will feature a wide range of music.
The choir will feature a selection of songs from Les Miserables, including the iconic chorus One Day More, plus an arrangement of ELO’s Mr Blue Sky and other items classical and contemporary items.
The first concert will be held at 7.30pm on Friday, July 6, in Cononley Village Institute and the second concert will take place at 7.30pm the next day at Christ Church in Skipton.
Two firsts for The Cononley Singers will happen when they perform at the Fives Landis Limited open day on Saturday, July 21, at 11am at the company site in Eastburn and then in the evening on October 27 when they will stage a performance in the evocative setting of Fountains Abbey.
