DNA return to the Groovy Happening in Haworth on Saturday July 7.

The band again promises classic rock with a few surprises, with a line-up consisting of experienced musicians and friends.

These are Paul Wilkinson on lead guitar, Geoff Keighley on drums, G-Man on bass, Stuart Jowett on lighting, and Eddie Mac, the “God of Thunder”, on vocals.

Groovy’s Ann Wiles said: “They’ve been together as DNA since April 2017 playing the best classic rock songs everyone knows, delivering a professional and polished performance every time.”

Also playing the Happening, at the Parkside Social Club in Butt Lane, are young Yorkshire indie rock band The Sheratons.

Fronted by founder Kane Bulleyment, who also plays guitar, the band consists of James Jowett on bass, Finley Ryan on rhythm guitar and Emma Liu on the drums.

Ann said: “This enthusiastic band has been gigging for over a year and provides the music scene with fresh faces. Every band member has a unique taste which comes together and creates a unified sound that anyone can enjoy. We’re looking forward to having them back at Groovy for a second time!”

Henry Parker will kick off the evening at 8pm.

Ann said: “Rooted in the original 70s folk guitar, Henry’s music withholds and develops a style first spearheaded by players such as John Renbourn, Dick Graham and Martin Simpson. Performances draw on a repertoire that incorporates traditional folk song, original instrumentals and solo arrangements, both traditional and modern, all of which are bound together by a creative and distinct finger-style approach.”

Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets £3 on the door.
