DESPITE the heat Moorfield School in Ilkley enjoyed a wonderful, energetic sports day at Ben Rhydding Sports Club.
Everyone participated with great spirit, encouraged on by supportive parents.
The four houses Robin, Blackbirds, Bluetits and Thrushes competed against each other in a variety of races: relay, sprint, sack race, egg and spoon and lots more.
It was Mrs Jessica Crossley’s last sports day - and hottest ever - as she retires as Headmistress this summer after sixteen years at the school.
