WORK is progressing at a pace on the restoration of Bradford’s Grade II* listed St George’s Hall.
As part of the refurbishment, following months of extensive renovation on the top of the ageing venue, specialist contractors are nearing completion to fully re-slate the roof.
Where possible, the front-of-house areas have been expanded and will be decorated sympathetically to suit the heritage of the building. Work is also being done to improve the comfort of the auditorium seating, while ensuring the acoustics are unaffected. The venue is due to reopen to acts from January 2019.
