MORE jobs will be created at a Keighley-based central heating services firm which is preparing to expand.

Clever Energy Boilers operates across Yorkshire, Lancashire, Durham and Cheshire but now intends to enter the West Midlands market.

Jonathan Broadbent, one of the business’s managing directors, said: “We started out installing our first boiler in 2013, just operating in West Yorkshire.

“We’ve since worked in Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria and Lincolnshire. The West Midlands is the natural next step towards us becoming a national company by 2022.”

Nearly 1,500 customers now use the company’s servicing and breakdown department.

This has meant the firm has taken on more Gas Safe engineers to cope with increasing demand.

It employs 40 people including engineers, domestic energy assessors and office staff at its head office off Lawkholme Lane.

Managing director Paul Calvert said: “The fantastic people who work for our company have been been the catalyst for our growth. We couldn’t do what we do so well without them.”

The company’s expansion into the West Midlands will bring with it six new jobs, including office staff and Gas Safe installers.

Mr Broadbent added: “This will allow us to continue delivering the high standards of service and installation quality that our customers have come to expect.”
