THE THOUGHTS of Cullingworth councillors have already turned to Christmas.
The Village Council recently discussed new features for the annual Christmas lighting display, including prices and potential power points.
Members had previously chosen 10 new lighting features, and eight of these will be fixed to lampposts in Cullingworth. Two of the choices were no longer available, so councillors had to consider substitutes.
Bradford Council will be asked to add new connections to lampposts in time for the Christmas season.
In the past small Christmas trees have been displayed in brackets on houses along Halifax Road, and residents are again being asked to take part.
Keighley gardener Steve Thorpe was asked to plant the war memorial garden with a flower design submitted by the winner of the annual Jane Green Garden competition.
Cullingworth Primary School’s winning garden design featured a rainbow.
