Now that summer has ended and autumn is here, there are plenty of films fast approaching to keep us all entertained.

Small Foot (U) is released in the UK on October 12 and follows the journey of a yeti named Migo (voiced by Channing Tatum) who is convinced the human species, otherwise known as, “Small Foot” is real.

Therefore, he sets out to prove to his tribe the existence of humans with the help of his friend Meechee, voiced by Zendaya, and the SES - Smallfoot Evidentiary Society.

This upcoming animation has some big names involved with the likes of funny-man James Corden, basketball legend LeBron James and acting veteran Danny Devito to name a few.

As we’re approaching my favourite time of the year (Halloween), we have a few creepy films crawling your way.

Firstly, Venom is scheduled for UK release on October 5. Tom Hardy takes on the role of journalist Eddie Brock who, in a last ditch attempt to revive his career, investigates the mysterious Life Foundation.

Through this he comes into contact with an alien symbiote that attaches itself to him, giving Eddie extraordinary superpowers.

Marvel has had a good run of films so far this year. I think this will be another success for Marvel to add to its long list.

If however, you fancy a more family friendly film, Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, is due for UK release on October 19.

On the eve of Halloween, in the town of Wardenclyffe, two young friends, Sam and Sonny come across a manuscript in an abandoned house that was written by the original author of the Goosebump books, RL Stine.

As they open the book, it releases Slappy (a ventriloquist’s dummy) who is planning a Halloween Apocalypse with the assistance of his monster friends.

Can Sonny and Sam thwart Slappy’s evil plan? Judging by the first Goosebumps, this sequel this has potential to be howl-arious!

We have some brilliant Cinema Events coming up in October, the first of which is The Winter’s Tale at the Globe Theatre on Thursday October 4 at 7.15pm.

This performance enacts the raw, emotional journey of Leontes who unravels his life and others around him in a fit of rage and groundless jealousy.

To end our season of Oscar Wilde, we will finish with The Importance of Being Earnest on Tuesday October 9 at 7.15pm, live from the Vaudville Theatre in London.

Arguably one of Wilde’s most loved masterpieces, the production demonstrates how rocky the road of true love can be. With the characters Algy, Jack, Cecily, Gwendolyn under the watchful eye of Lady Bracknell, this witty adaptation will have you roaring with laughter.

Finally, for all you Cliff Richard fans, on Friday October 12 at 8pm, Cliff will be celebrating 60 years in the music industry with a live stream of his tour. Move it and a-groove it to The Picture House, where you can sing and shake to Cliff’s biggest hits!
