Smoking toaster sparks kitchen fire
FIREFIGHTERS tackled a kitchen fire at a house in Quarry Street, Keighley, this afternoon.
Crews from Keighley and Bingley dashed to the house after a woman inside spotted smoke coming from her toaster.
Two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used a hose on the blaze, and the kitchen was heavily smoke damaged.
In the light of the 2.30pm incident, a crew is due to return to the house tomorrow to install smoke alarms.
