EAST Riddlesden Hall is staging a wedding open evening in its historic Airedale Barn.

The event, on Saturday December 4, is designed to give couples the chance to view the venue after dark – complete with fairy lights and candles.

Flora Simpson – weddings manager with the National Trust, which runs the 17th-century hall – said: "It can sometimes be difficult for couples to imagine how the Airedale Barn looks during the evening, so this is a great opportunity to experience how amazing this space is at night-time. Everyone is welcome."

Food and drink will be on offer and there'll be live entertainment.

Agatha Cooper – the trust's weddings and events co-ordinator – said that in the aftermath of postponements and cancellations due to the pandemic, the team at East Riddlesden Hall had experienced a busy year.

"It’s been so lovely to be able to get back to doing what we love in the wedding industry – helping our couples have the best day of their lives," she said. "We’re hoping the open evening will inspire couples and help them get excited about their wedding at East Riddlesden Hall."

The event runs from 6pm to 10pm. Booking is not required.
