NEARLY 300 people attended a holy mass in Keighley today for the people of Ukraine.
The event – at St Anne's Church – was organised by Father Michael McCreadie and the Good Shepherd Centre, Keighley.
Four priests, including Father Yaroslav Riy of the Ukrainian Church, were present.
The congregation included children from the town's catholic schools, town mayor Councillor Julie Adams, deputy lieutenant of West Yorkshire David Pearson and members of the Keighley and Bradford Ukrainian communities.
Following a prayer, reading and hymns, the service ended with Ukrainians singing their national anthem.
