PEOPLE across the Keighley district are being urged to ensure they don't miss out on a vote next month.

Bradford Council elections take place on Thursday, May 5.

But the public is being reminded that only those on the electoral register will be eligible to vote.

And the deadline for registration is now under a fortnight away.

Kersten England, the returning officer for Bradford Council, said: "Local government decisions have a significant impact on the lives of all residents across the district.

"It’s still as important as ever to make sure you’re registered to vote and to have your voice heard on issues which affect you and your local community.

"Registration is easy and takes just five minutes – so whether you’re on your commute or waiting for the kettle to boil, you can quickly register and make sure you get to have your say."

To register, go to gov.uk/register-to-vote. The deadline is Thursday, April 14.
