GROWERS are being invited to enter this year's Keighley Show.
Vegetables, fruit, plants and flowers – from gardens or allotments – can all be shown in the horticulture section at the event, at Marley playing fields on September 3.
"Don’t be put off by thinking your produce may not be good enough to exhibit," says a spokesperson.
"As well as classes for seasoned exhibitors, there are novice flower and vegetable sections. Exhibits in these are not judged to national horticulture standards and are aimed at encouraging more inexperienced growers to win prizes or rosettes.
"We would also like children to get involved. There are two age groups – up to seven years and 8-15. For either age range, children can create a display of garden flowers in a container such as a jam jar or make an animal out of any flower, fruit or plant material.
"Alternatively, if you enjoy being creative with flowers, you could enter one or more arrangements. The categories this year are centred around the Queen's Platinum Jubilee and the four home nations, plus there are classes specifically for amateurs and novices."
