A Worth Valley bus link which covers some of the district's more remote locations will have a new timetable from Sunday, April 27.

The M Bus route is operated on a contract, currently awarded to Tyrer Bus.

From April 27 the service will run on four route numbers - 915, 916, 917 and 918 - all travelling via Keighley Bus Station.

Route 915 will cover Leeming Cemetery, and Oxenhope and Haworth railway stations. The 916 route will take in Oakworth railway station, Stanbury and Braithwaite Road.

Route 917, which will operate in the evenings, will cover Oakworth railway station, Leeming, Stanbury and Oldfield Lane. The daytime Sunday route - 918 - will travel via Goose Eye Brow, Marsh Lane, Oxenhope Post Office and Oakworth railway station.

Andrew Coley, a bus services project officer for Metro, said the timetable had been redesigned in response to consultation with passengers and local councillors.

He added: "Some areas such as Bracken Bank will still be covered by the new service in the evenings and at weekends, but on a demand responsive basis. Passengers will simply book the bus for the journeys that they require.

"There will be full instructions on how to use this service and where people will be able to go in the new timetable booklet."

The revised booklet will be available from mid-April available from the Travel Centre in Keighley Bus Station and Keighley Railway Station and at www.wymetro.com.
