A CROSS Hills company is supporting a wellbeing cafe.

Airedale Chemical will cover the cost of the cafe's room rental, at Glusburn Institute Community and Arts Centre, for the next year.

The cafe gives people somewhere to meet, and take part in activities.

Gill Birks, chair of the centre's trustees, said: "Covid restrictions have had a lasting effect on many people. We offer a place where those who may be affected by mental health issues or just want somewhere to talk over a coffee can come. Also, a qualified art tutor offers free activities.

"The support from businesses like Airedale Chemical can make the difference between being able to hold these events or having to close them."

Daniel Marr, for Airedale Chemical, said: "We've been aware for a while of the fantastic work that the volunteers at Glusburn Institute do, so we were delighted to be able to help them."
