PANTO is returning this month to Keighley's Victoria Hall.

Keighley Musical Theatre Company is performing Jack and the Beanstalk.

The production – which runs from January 28 to February 4, and includes three matinees – sees hero Jack played by Harvey Dewhurst, in a break from the traditional female principal boy.

Also appearing are audience favourites including James Windle as Jimmy Trot, and Dean Harness – who returns to his dame role as Jack and Jimmy’s mother.

Alice Chapman plays Jack’s girlfriend Sue – and Peter Whitley makes his panto return as her father, the squire.

Sarah Chapman and Leah Ogrizovic are the giant’s henchmen, whilst Stephanie Laycock will add fairy magic.

There's also an ensemble and children's chorus, The Beanies.

A company spokesperson said: "Jack and the Beanstalk – by Keith Marsden and Geoffrey Rundle – was our first pantomime back in 1965, and it is still as funny today as it's always been.

"It will cheer up your new year with laughter, great music, fabulous costumes and spectacular effects."

Performances are at 1.15pm and 6pm on the Saturdays, 2.15pm on the Sunday, and 7.15pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. For tickets, visit KeighleyMTC.com or call 0300 0301 303.
