LIBRARIES across North Yorkshire are celebrating Under-Fives Week.
A host of free activities and events is being held, from next Monday (March 6).
The aim is to help encourage pre-school-age children to develop a love of books.
Most libraries are staging events.
And a large selection of books for parents and carers will be available, covering topics ranging from tips on weaning to improving behaviour, plus resources to help children talk about difficult subjects.
Councillor Greg White, North Yorkshire County Council’s executive member for libraries, says: "Developing a love of books and reading at an early age is key to a child’s future success.
"By getting involved in Under-Fives Week, you can help your little ones develop essential skills."
More details are available from libraries.
