EASTER activities are planned at libraries across the district.

Themed story times and craft sessions, where children can make items ranging from Easter baskets to hats and finger puppets, are being held during the school holidays.

Venues for sessions include Silsden Library on Wednesday, April 5, at 1.30pm, and Keighley Library on Saturday, April 8, between 11am and noon.

Booking is not essential, but any large groups are asked to contact the library before attending.

Explore Learning, an award-winning maths and English centre, is also offering workshops at City Library in Bradford on April 15, between 9am and noon. Booking for that is via Eventbrite.

Christine May, Bradford Council's head of libraries and archives, says: "We’re 'egg-cited' to be welcoming families to our libraries over the Easter school holidays.

"We’ve organised a great range of free activities which will not only be fun but will also encourage the enjoyment of reading, which in turn provides many benefits to learning, development and creativity in children.

"Our libraries provide a range of resources and services which support people from across our communities, and residents of all ages can sign up for free library membership at any time."
