PEOPLE are being urged to get on their bikes to raise funds for Manorlands.

Sue Ryder is staging its annual Bronte Off Road Bike Challenge, on Sunday, June 11.

Participants can choose from four Bronte-themed routes, suitable for all types of mountain or gravel bike.

Longest route is the Heathcliff, at 35.6 miles and with a 4,422ft cumulative climb. It is followed by Charlotte (26.4 miles) and Emily (22.3 miles). Shortest route, at 13.9 miles, is Anne, which is recommended for families and beginners.

All rides start and finish at West End fields, Penistone Hill, Haworth, courtesy of the local bridleways group.

The challenge is organised by the Manorlands Cycling Events Fundraising Group, and sponsors are All Terrain Cycles of Saltaire and Keighley-based Pure Residential Letting Specialists.

All participants will receive a bespoke water bottle and a hot meal at the finish.
