A KEIGHLEY Playhouse production took centre stage at a prestigious drama festival.
The Devonshire Street theatre's presentation of The Lady in the Van, by Alan Bennett, scooped four top accolades at the Wharfedale Drama Festival.
Alison Rooks took the Best Actress award for her performance in the title role, producer Robin Martin received the Best Play of the Season honour, and the playhouse captured the Best Stage Presentation and Best Technical Excellence prizes.
Playhouse chair, Mike Boothroyd, says: "We have enjoyed numerous award nominations in past seasons but never previously to this extent. It is a vindication of the hard work and dedication of all our members as we continue to present live theatre performances of the highest standards."
The new playhouse season begins with a production of JB Priestley’s Dangerous Corner, from September 4 to 9. Ticket reservations can be made by calling the box office on 07599 890769.
