A PRESENTATION will be music to the ears of Lees Methodist Church Meeting Point.
Brass bandsman Chris Partington is the guest speaker at the next session, which takes place at the church – opposite Lees Primary School – on Wednesday, October 4.
Tea and biscuits will be served from 1.45pm, and the presentation starts at 2pm.
Maurice Baren, for the church, says: "Chris is a brass bandsman of many years playing and the presentation will be a record of his personal journey, including playing for BBC Songs of Praise, at the Saddleworth Whit Friday event and the Durham Miners' Gala, and in the national bands final. Everyone is invited to come along, and hear some fine brass band music as well as a compelling story."
