A KEIGHLEY school has staged a 'values open morning' – its first of the academic year.
And the well-attended event, at Keighley St Andrew's CE Primary, has been hailed as a success.
"It was lovely to see so many parents and visitors in school," says assistant headteacher Michelle Freebury.
"All our pupils are encouraged to live our school values – thankfulness, peace, courage, compassion, trust and community – on a daily basis.
"Each half-term we explore one of the values in more depth – unpick what it means to us, as well as what it looks like in our daily lives.
"This time we have been exploring thankfulness, and the quality learning that has been taking place when unpicking this value was evident to see at the open morning.
"It was lovely to see how confident the children were when they spoke and how they were able to reason exactly what thankfulness looks like to them, as well as in the wider world around them.
"We look forward to welcoming parents back next half-term for another open morning."
