AN EVENT at Keighley Library is set to strike a chord with the audience.

Home Town Sounds Revisited, an evening of music, is taking place at the North Street building on Friday, December 15.

Performing will be The Haley Sisters, supported by John Drury.

Haleys Jo-Ann and Becky were born and brought up in Harden.

They showed an interest in all genres of music from an early age and performed professionally for the first time in 1989.

They have appeared at the London Palladium and other theatres, festivals and events across the UK and overseas.

And they've performed with the likes of Nathan Carter, Freddy Fender, George Hamilton IV and Daniel O' Donnell.

In 1993, the sisters were joined by guitarist Brian Smith.

Singer-songwriter John Drury's songs have been described as "poetry with music on top".

He has performed at venues including the Baccapipes Folk Club and collaborators have included Maggie Boyle, Steve Tilston and Mike Hockenhull.

Tickets for the 6.45pm event are available, priced £5, from Keighley Local Studies Library.
