KEIGHLEY Musical Theatre Company is preparing to take centre stage with its latest panto.

The company is performing Puss in Boots, which was written by Keighley pantomime stalwarts the late Keith Marsden and Geoffrey Rundle and was last produced in the town 13 years ago.

Taking the lead role is Luke Scott, who heads up a cast of nearly 40.

The production will be directed by Peter Whitley and choreographed by Judith Chapman, and Mike Gilroy is providing the musical direction.

A company spokesperson says: "We are thrilled to announce the stellar line up for our latest eagerly-awaited panto.

"Get ready for a purr-fectly magical experience that will whisk you away to the enchanting world of 'Catland'!

"The talented Luke in the lead role of Puss in Boots will bring charisma and feline finesse to the stage.

"Joining him are fabulous cast members including Harvey Dewhurst as Colin, Alice Chapman as Princess Marigold, Leah Ogrizovic as Cecil, Jack Cramby as Cyril, and the enchanting Sarah Higgins as the fairy, who will be dazzling audiences with her magical presence.

"Also, watch out for the hilarious Silas Slime – the ogre’s lawyer – who is played by Sam Higgins, and Wilberforce, portrayed by Mark Brown, as they bring laughter and mischief to the stage.

"The royal family is in good hands with James Windle as King Ichabod and Jonny Tate as Queen Florence, whilst Jordan Preston takes on the monstrous role of the ogre, joined by Phoenix Bass as the Queen of Catland.

"Tickets for this unmissable panto extravaganza are available now – don't miss out on the chance to embark on a whimsical journey filled with laughter, music and magical moments for the whole family!

"Keighley Musical Theatre Company has been entertaining audiences with high-quality productions for 111 years.
