KEIGHLEY people are being urged to take part in a survey which will help shape future career support services across the region.

The aim of the initiative, launched by West Yorkshire mayor Tracy Brabin, is to improve how people – particularly those facing additional challenges – are supported into training and jobs.

The consultation is open to anyone who lives, works or studies in West Yorkshire.

Ms Brabin says that ensuring everyone has the skills and training needed to secure work was amongst her priorities when elected in 2021.

She adds: "Since then over 90,000 adults in West Yorkshire have completed courses that have given them a chance to progress in their careers, follow a new path or enter the world of work.

"This has been helped by regional partners working together to ensure services that provide careers support are accessible for people to engage, progress, earn more and have a better quality of life.

"The survey aims to gain an understanding of people’s personal experiences and opinions to improve these services further.

"I want to create a world-class careers offer that will improve people’s lives, whatever their circumstances."
