A SCHOOL has enjoyed an array of activities in the run up to Christmas.

The reception class at Oxenhope Church of England Primary took part in an outdoor Nativity.

Pupils in Years 1 and 2 participated in a 'Bethlehem Bake Off'.

The school's cooking club produced Christmas cakes.

There was a festive dinner.

And celebrations culminated with a service at St Mary's Church in the village, with pupils being led from the school – in Cross Lane – to the church by donkey Wraggs.

Headteacher, Mrs Alice Jones, says: "Christmas in a primary school is a crazy mixture of Nativity shows, visits from Santa, glittery crafts and fun.

"At Oxenhope Church of England Primary, we have a love for making memories. And although it's busy at this time of year, we know that the children will remember some of these moments for ever – and that's what Christmas is all about."
