A MONTHLY event which raises funds for Manorlands has achieved a milestone.
Groovy Happening, held upstairs at Parkside Social Club in Haworth, has now coined-in over £50,000 for the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice.
A cheque will be presented at the latest event, the 137th, on Saturday, February 3, at around 7.45pm.
Headlining on the evening is Revival of the Fittest, a Settle-based rock covers band which has been playing together for a decade. Its playlist is inspired by everything from The Beatles and Elvis to Oasis and Chuck Berry.
First on stage will be Calm Before The Storm, a Bradford-based acoustic duo comprising Stan Greenwood and Gary Kaye.
And up next is Keighley-based Jackals Forever, featuring Mick McGinn on guitar and vocals, guitarist Jason Roberts, Ben Langthorne on bass and drummer Aaron Macadam.
All the acts are Groovy debutants.
Admission is £5, cash only, with all proceeds going to Manorlands.
