SOUTH Craven MP Julian Smith has visited Bradleys Both Community Primary School.

He was given a tour of the school.

And he spoke with headteacher Barry Rogers, head of governors Becky Stapleton and Jo Robinson – chief executive officer of the Yorkshire Collaborative Academy Trust – about issues including school funding concerns.

"I welcomed the chance to discuss their concerns and will ensure ministerial colleagues are aware of the particular challenges facing rural schools," says Mr Smith.

He also met the head boy and two leaders of the school council.

"It was great to meet everyone and I’m grateful to Becky for inviting me," Mr Smith added.

"There’s so much potential within our schools and I'll continue to fight for our children to receive the best possible start in life.

"The pupils I met were excellent ambassadors for Bradleys Both – very polite and clearly proud of their wonderful school."
