A SERIES of charity car washes is being staged in Keighley during Ramadan.
Hainworth Wood Community Kitchen is holding the events, opposite the main entrance to Lund Park.
Proceeds are going to the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice, Manorlands.
The first take place this Saturday and Sunday (March 16-17), from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.
Further sessions are planned on March 23-24 and March 30-31, between 1.30pm and 5.30pm, and on April 6 and 7, from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
Sajjad Sadiq, for the community kitchen, says: "Ramadan is a month of prayer, reflection and compassion for the less fortunate.
"We would ask people to please support us in this endeavour to help Manorlands, which does a wonderful job in supporting and caring for the sick."
As part of the venture, an online fundraising page has also been set up, at justgiving.com/page/ramadhancarwash
Manorlands supports patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families at the hospice and in the community.
