PEOPLE across the Keighley district are being urged to ensure their medicine cabinets are well stocked ahead of the Easter weekend.
And area NHS chiefs say that with A&E departments normally experiencing high demand over the Easter period, the public should where possible use 111.nhs.uk.
Helen Farmer, for Bradford District and Craven Health and Care Partnership, says: "We’re asking everyone to ensure they are prepared for their medical needs.
"This includes ordering any repeat prescriptions you may need, particularly if you have a long-term condition where the consequences could be serious if medications run out.
"We want people to stay happy and healthy at home, and by using services such as 111.nhs.uk this can help relieve pressure on busy NHS 111 phone lines and A&E departments."
