AN annual campaign is underway to add sparkle to a village at Christmas.
Fundraising efforts are being launched to ensure a festive display will once again light up Oakworth.
Events planned include a quiz night at the Snooty Fox, in the village, on Sunday, May 26, and a race night in June.
Teams of up to six can enter the quiz night, which will start at 7.30pm. The cost is £2 per person. There will be prizes, and a raffle.
Spearheading the fundraising campaign is Oakworth Village Christmas Lights Group.
Mags Dearden, group chair, says: "We would like to see as many people as possible come along to our fundraising events this year.
"It costs just under £4,000 to keep our village lit up at Christmas and we need everyone to help as much as they can.
"We would like to thank the Snooty Fox for being our host for the quiz. Come along and join us for a night full of tough questions and lots of fun, and all in aid of our Christmas lights."
People can just turn up on the night.
