Another event has fallen victim to the weather.
Hainworth Fun Day, due to be held this Sunday, has been cancelled because of the wet conditions.
The event was originally planned for August 17 but was postponed then owing to the rain.
Annie Berrington, for the organisers, said: “We hoped that September would bring drier weather and the event could go ahead but if anything it has got worse and like other local events we had to take the hard decision to cancel. Hainworth Village Society wishes to thank everyone who helped to organise it or who offered help on the day.
“We hope to run the fun day, including the Its a Knockout competition, in 2009 and are considering a date earlier in the summer when conditions tend to be better.”
Keighley Show and Cross Roads Gala, due to be held last weekend, were both casualties of the weather.
