A fundraising evening raised £1,000 to help terminally ill children.
Last month’s event was hosted by Bocking Working Men’s Club, in Cross Roads. The idea for the evening came from resident Gemma Binns who organised the fundraiser with the help of friends and family.
The evening featured dog racing, a raffle, tombola, bingo and a quiz. Proceeds have gone to the Make a Wish Foundation, a charity which specialises in granting the wishes of children and young people with life-threatening illnesses.
A cheque was formally handed over to a foundation representative at the working men’s club last Wednesday afternoon.
