Crowds flocked to Wilsden Gala on Sunday.
The event, which this year had a “Shrek meets Fairytales” theme, featured a wide range of attractions.
“It went really well and the weather stayed fine for us,” said organiser Julie Petty.
The Maggie Bennett Jazz Band led the procession and performed during the afternoon.
Floats were judged by the Rev Dr Hayford Offar-Attah. Winner was the pre-school with Cinderella, second was the primary school with Peter Pan and third the Wilsden 2nd Brownies with a scene from Shrek. There was also a float by the Rainbows.
The parade also included this year’s gala queen Hayley O’Gan and gala king Christopher Barker and the rose king and queen Lakhan Khokar and Libby Hawksworth.
The crowning ceremony was performed by the retiring primary school head, Bob Quartermain.
Attractions included a Twister Organ, fairground rides and a helter-skelter, children’s entertainer CJ Chuckleberry, stalls and games.
Performances were given by Jennifer Craven’s Dancekool and the Lineviners line dancers.
And there was a Women’s Institute tent and beer tent.
